While needing to find a source of income in the late 1970s, Jose and Lenore Trindad found their interest in photography provided the solution they needed. They began by photographing Masonic organizations and then progressed into wedding photography, working initially from their home in Lakewood. They moved to Westlake in 1990 and opened The Picture Takers on Center Ridge Road in 1992. In an industry where a one hour turn-around is now the norm, The Picture Takers has become well-known for the amount of time they spend ensuring each session results in truly remarkable portraits. We met recently with Lenore and her staff, and listened as they described The Picture Takers services and offerings;
The Picture Takers specializes in a full line of photography for all stages in family life. We photograph expectant mothers, babies, families, and generations. We work in our studio and also go on many scenic locations available in Northeast Ohio. Our goal is to offer personalized service while creating portraits that provide timeless memories.
The Picture Takers prides itself on creating real life custom backgrounds that the children can actually interact in, and with our full line of clothing we enable them to dress like fairies, cowboys, and much more. From a pond set in the studio to a field of buttercups in the late summer, our style is timeless.
Another very popular feature of our studio is our Calendar Club. Parents can bring their children for a short photographic session from which we create themed photos that are mailed to them each month. The photographs reflect the current season and may include themes such as Groundhog's Day or Valentines Day in February and Cinco de Mayo in May. These monthly mailings are extremely popular with grandparents, aunts and uncles, and associates at work.
Our international food line features babies or children posing among a variety of ethnic flavors and foods. Some examples are poses incorporating an Italian soup pot, salad bar, desserts, Chinese cuisine, and other related food items. These photos can lend a wonderful accent to your kitchen, and may include your own tablecloth, favorite cookbook, or other kitchen items to create a delightfully personalized look. These photos can be used on custom designed recipe cards and grocery lists, in addition to being incorporated on the cover of cookbooks. We've also produced these photos for pizza shops and several restaurants.
Lenore also offers a line called her "Private Collections" where women come to our studio and have very personal, intimate portraits taken for their husbands or significant others. From these photos we can create sexy calendars and other tempting delights. Our Jole line of invitations includes birth announcements, birthday invitations, wedding invitations, corporate invitations and announcements, and of course, holiday portrait cards. We have a full line of sterling silver photographic jewelry that can be personalized with miniature portraits. Your favorite portrait can also be placed Gina Alexander line of leather purses.
Lenore and Jose have won many awards for their photographic work. The Picture Takers is a member of Children's Photographers International where Lenore has won Buyer's Choice Awards and Best of Show awards. As members of Professional Photographers of Ohio, Jose has won awards for his wedding photography.
