With brothers who were Funeral Directors, Donald Martens realized the profession offered a wonderful opportunity to serve the local community during their time of loss. As a result, he opened his first funeral home in Cleveland in 1959. His sons, Donald Martens, Jr. and Dean Martens, followed in their father's footsteps, became licensed Funeral Directors themselves, and joined their father in tending to the funeral needs of several generations of Northeast Ohio residents. Daniel L. Berry's family had been Funeral Directors in the Cleveland area for nearly 100 years, and Daniel also decided to follow his ancestors in practicing this time honored profession. In 2001 Daniel Berry and the Martens family combined their talents resulting in the formation of Daniel L. Berry & Donald Martens and Sons Funeral Homes. This partnership of two of Cleveland's most respected names in the Funeral Service Industry has over 125 years combined experience as Funeral Directors to their credit, and have performed funeral services for tens of thousands of families in the local area. We met recently with Donald Martens, Donald Martens, Jr., Dean Martens, and Daniel L. Berry, and listened as they provided this overview of the services available at Daniel L. Berry & Donald Martens and Sons Funeral Homes;
